Welcome to our ‘TASTER’ workshop

A short introductory workshop for photographers we've never met before

Most months of the year we run small exploratory workshops that are completely free for everyone who attends.

We call them VIEWFINDERS as they help us get a view of what issues photographers of all levels are struggling with in their photography

Just like the viewfinders in our cameras, these information-packed 2 hour workshops help both you and us to focus on things that are important.

You get a clearer view of your photography as we answer your questions… and we get a clearer view of what issues are on photographers' minds right now.

It's important to us that the data we get is fresh and up-to-date, so the only people who attend these workshops are photographers who are completely unknown to us.

How does it work?

We run Viewfinder workshops nearly every month for photographers we've never met before (Max 6 people).

They are a great forum for photographers of all levels (from complete beginners upwards…) to discuss the hobby they are passionate about.

You may have problems that you'd like advice on, questions about cameras, lenses, composition, lighting and editing. We, in turn, get first-hand insights into what issues are really bugging photographers today. We use this information to regularly fine-tune our workshops and teaching programs.

Viewfinders are essentially round-table discussions with some collaborative brainstorming, and discussions focussed around key aspects of photography that you’re keen to learn about.

Photos

We ask you to submit three photos for discussion during the workshop. Let us have two photos that you’re disappointed with - and one photo that you’re really pleased with. Each image will be reviewed, and friendly, constructive feedback and advice will be given. There is much to learn by looking at images in this way, both for you and for the other people in the room

Book Now

Viewfinder workshops are held at the HSP Training Centre, in Fleet, Hampshire. They tend to be evening meetings (Thursdays), running from 7:30pm for two hours.

All viewfinders are by appointment only and after you've registered via this page, we will contact you by email.

Sessions are led by Hampshire School of Photography's Founder and Director, Kevin Ahronson.

Kevin is one of the best photography teachers in the UK and has personally taught hundreds of students from beginners through to those who want to go professional.

With over 50 years experience behind the camera, Kevin’s passion these days is to share that knowledge with the next generation of photographers.
