You could be mistaken for thinking that there is a theme going on here.
This is the second of my featured photography workshop venues, which happen to be a stylish pub/restaurant, sitting on its own lake... described as a 'Mill'. The other being the Mill House at North Warnborough, near Odiham.
The Mill at Elstead has a very special place in my heart, this is where I got married. Just three months ago, Linda and I were making our vows here - and back then I was looking at the place, evaluating it as a potential workshop venue.
Set in stunning grounds, with it's own lake, surrounded in beautiful countryside, it is a first class location to invite people to study photography and improve their photographic skills. On the second floor it has a meeting room with loads of space and facilities. Sadly no lift (no lifts in 17th century).
The first workshop planned is on Sunday 14th May: 'Coming Out of Auto' and is for anyone who has got a DSLR or one of the new generation of mirrorless cameras - who wants to move away from shooting everything in Auto, and take full control of the camera.
I'm also planning a portraiture workshop from this venue, as the grounds are perfect in which to photograph models.
