A Photoshop Ninja is so adept at his art, that he doesn’t have to think. His skills, which are taught to him by a master, are instinctive.
In the same way a photographer needs mastery over his camera, the Photoshop Ninja needs mastery over his software. Mastery over it’s tools and techniques.
Over a four month period, you will learn from industry professional Kevin Ahronson, just what it takes to master Photoshop.
From basics through to advanced techniques, you’ll learn the essential skills for today’s photographer. You’ll learn about the right way to select objects, to clone and heal, to work with layers, layer masks and blending modes… and then you’ll learn Kevin’s Ninja-Secrets for transforming your portrait images from the ordinary to the spectacular!
Kevin with show you how to creatively use layers and layer masks to non-destructively edit individual elements of your photos
Most people know how to clone out unwanted objects from their photos, but Kevin will show you the full range of cloning tools, to remove & rebuild key parts of the image and most importantly, how to deal with hair
There have been many techniques developed for smoothing the human skin.
They all work to an extent - but on this course Kevin will demonstrate the one that pros are using today.
Participants will be provided with Kevin’s original RAW files to work on. Work alongside Kevin, stage by stage
All participants, as a special bonus will each be able to have a private Zoom consultation with Kevin at the end of the course.
With the course completed, you may want to pick Kevin’s brain about your own editing issues, and within a month from the end of the workshop you can book a private Zoom consultation to help you take your editing further.
Kevin has been using Photoshop since 2008 and reckons to have amassed over 12,000 hours of Photoshop over that time.
Your will be learning from someone who really knows how to get the best out of the software, developing tricks and shortcuts to help you speed up your editing.
The course will take place at the HSP Training Centre

All participants should bring their computer with them to each module and must have Adobe Photoshop already installed and functioning. You must also ensure that your computer is powerful enough to run Photoshop effectively*.
The latest version of Photoshop will be used throughout the workshop. If you have an old version on your computer, some of the the techniques demonstrated may not work.
If you have a graphics tablet, we advise you bring that too - as it will give you better control.
If your system is not working properly or the installation is incomplete, we won’t be able to assist you during the workshop. There is a busy schedule which cannot be delayed to help you out should you arrive unprepared (it wouldn’t be fair on everyone else on the course).
*Read Adobe’s minimum requirements here
The course runs over four Sundays at the beginning of 2021*
(*11am - 1pm)
Teas & coffees will be served (and some seriously nice biscuits). COVID screens will be in place to separate participating students.
Group size is limited to just 6 students, so first come, first served.
With such a small group size, students will have excellent access to Kevin for questions and interaction.
* Lockdown restrictions permitting
Tuesday-Saturday 11:00am-17:30pm
